#10: The Thunderbolts Stop The Void
Thunderbolts* (2025)
These rag-tag anti-heroes had a lot to proveand in this ending, they delivered. After Yelena helps Bob confront the Void, the dark embodiment of his depression, he finds the strength to fight back and beat it down. But his team knows that burying your darkness is just another way of being consumed by it. In a touching moment, the Thunderbolts rally around Bob, showing that moving forward doesn't have to be done alone. The climax didn't have the typical MCU fireworks but that's what made it special. Instead of going for spectacle, the conclusion was much more quiet and heartfelt. And it was a breath of fresh air.
#9: Mutants vs. Mobsters
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem (2023)
After their brief live-action run in the 2010s, the half-shell heroes made a bold comeback with Mutant Mayhem, a reboot that brought an energy and style to the teenage part of their name. Nowhere is this more clear than in this glorious fight montage. It kicks off with the turtles barging into a series of gangster hideoutsand once the action starts, the music hits hard. The animated combat is fluid and fun, cutting seamlessly between a mattress store, poker room, billiards hall, restaurant, and slaughterhouse. Each brother gets his moment to shine blending badass moves with hilarious slapstick comedy. It's about everything you could want from a modern Ninja Turtle adventure.
#8: Destroying the Time Ripper
Deadpool & Wolverine (2024)
What could have been a simple buddy comedy became one of the decade's most heartfelt superhero stories. That's due in no small part to the bromance at the core of the film. After clashing for most of the runtime, Deadpool and Wolverine finally unite to destroy the reality-threatening time ripper. They're both ready to sacrifice themselves to save the other, but in true heroic fashion, they decide to share the burden. It gets surprisingly emotional when Wade reflects on the people he's loved, while Logan conquers his grief, becoming an X-Man once again. Of course they end up surviving the ordeal but that doesn't undercut the comedy and heart of this climax.
#7: Wanda Takes Down the Illuminati
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022)
The introduction of the secretive super team was already a huge fan service moment. The slaughter that followed was even more of a spectacle straight out of a comic book. When the Scarlet Witch's rampage reaches the Illuminati, she effortlessly and brutally takes out Black Bolt and Mister Fantastic. Captains Marvel and Carter put up more of a fight in an epic 2v1, but they meet similarly violent ends. By the time Wanda encounters the powerful telepath, Professor X, even he doesn't stand a chance. The whole sequence is pretty gruesome but it's admittedly some of the most fun superhero action ever put to screen.
#6: Harley's Hallway Rampage
The Suicide Squad (2021)
Margot Robbie as the villain turned anti-hero is one of the best movie castings of all time. Not only does she make Harley's craziness look appealing, she nails the character's physicality. After breaking out of prison using her gymnastic skills, performed by the actress herself, Harley fights her way out of the fortress. Throughout the scene she uses handguns, assault rifles, her dress, and a javelin all while looking like she's having the time of her life. It's one of DC's most fun action sequences yet, accompanied by colorful visuals and music that perfectly captures Harley's personality.
#5: Peters 1, 2, & 3
Spider-Man: No Way Home (2021)
This cinematic Spider-Man team up did not disappoint. We were practically cheering in the theater when they came together to confront their enemies. However, their pre-battle conversation was straight out of our dreams. Watching the wall crawlers casually chat about their powers, and express a bit of jealousy, is just as fun as watching them fight bad guys. Tobey Maguire, Andrew Garfield, and Tom Holland have surprising comedic chemistry. They bounce off each other as if they were actually variations of the same person. We seriously could spend hours watching them geek out over their respective histories.
#4: Wakanda Celebrates Their King
Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022)
This sequel serves as a heartfelt tribute to Chadwick Bosemans life and legacy. It opens with a powerful Wakandan funeral, capturing the grief inflicted on T'challas family. It appears as though the entire nation is gathered to mourn their fallen king. The Golden City processionrich with artistic tribal attire, and lively music and danceis both a celebration of life and African culture. For a man whose presence resonated both on and off screen, there couldn't be a more fitting farewell that's as deeply emotional, visually stunning, or culturally meaningful as this.
#3: Dog Days Are Over
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (2023)
After Endgame closed the book on the original Avengers, it was time for everyone's favorite cosmic heroes to take their final bow. Following the High Evolutionary's defeat, and one hell of a hallway fight, the Guardians go their separate ways, growing into the people they helped each other become. Quill returns to his family on Earth while Mantis leaves to discover who she is. In true Guardians fashion, the rest dance the night away in a sequence that's both joyful and bittersweet. Even Drax joins in as his fellow misfits howl into the sky finally embracing who they are. It may be the end of this iteration of the Guardians, but we couldn't ask for a more satisfying ending.
#2: Arkham Interrogation
The Batman (2022)
The newest cinematic take on the character offers plenty of standout moments. Batman becoming a symbol of hope is particularly memorable. But it just wouldnt be a Batman movie without a thrilling interrogation. It starts with the Riddler ominously repeating the name Bruce Wayne. Both Batman and the audience are led to believe that he deduced his secret identity. In a shocking twist, he reveals that he doesnt actually know who's beneath the mask. Batman then gives him a cruel reality check, only to realize that the Riddler still has one final riddle for him to solve. Robert Pattinson effortlessly conveys emotion through his eyes, and Paul Danos chilling performance makes this the best scene.

There isn't enough time to pick out every visual gag and bit of fan service. Yet, while the action is fun and vibrant, it's not without its emotional beats. When Miles is cornered atop a speeding train, he's hit with a crushing truth: he was never meant to become Spider-Man, and hes responsible for the Spots creation.
