Metal band Annihilator, and its founding father Jeff Waters, have been on the scene since the mid-1980s and have seen a lot of changes since then. From the low point of metal in the 1990s, to the evolution of record deals, Waters says things are completely different – and harder – than when he first got his start. In this video, http://www.WatchMojo.com got the chance to speak with Waters while he was in town judging Heavy MTL's Battle of the Bands. He gives us his take on the modern metal scene and how things have evolved since he started out, what he's looking for when judging the competition, and he also discusses the best advice he has for up-and-coming bands.
