Video Game Classics: Super Mario RPG - Legend of the Seven Stars

Over the years there have been several Mario-based roleplaying outings, but this is the game that started it all, and it is arguably the best of the pack. Unlike those other ventures into the genre, Super Mario RPG was developed by Square Soft, the studio behind the iconic Final Fantasy series. As the game begins, Princess Toadstool is once again kidnapped by King Koopa and Mario takes off to rescue her. However, he is soon sent flying by a giant sword that has come crashing into the castle. Charged with discovering the purpose of this invader, Mario must form a team, rescue the princess and save the world from a powerful new villain.
