The world's most innovative skateboarding contest premieres in Germany: the Downtown Showdown 2010 is more than a skateboard competition. It's a challenge where craftsmanship, obstacle ideas and creativity play a decisive role. This year's hosting city of the legendary skateboarding event is everyone's favorite northern German City, Hamburg. The famous harbor city will host the international skateboarding extravaganza, right in the heart of the famous red-light district at the Spielbudenplatz. Over 5000 people visited the Spielbudenplatz to witness nine of Europe's best Skateboard teams battle it out against each other.
