Lyndon Johnson Biography: U.S. President, Great Society

Born August 27th, 1908 in Stonewall, Texas, Lyndon Johnson became interested in politics while studying teaching. After forming relationships with important politicians, he got into Congress and made his way into the Texas Senate thanks to his notorious persuasion skills. After President John F. Kennedy's assassination, LBJ went from being V.P. to 36th President of the U.S.A. As president, Johnson made waves in civil rights and in domestic issues with his Great Society programs.
