Good girl gone bad RiRi never has an off day. Welcome to MsMojo, and today we’re counting down our picks for the Top 10 Rihanna Red Carpet Looks. For this list, we’re looking at the most glamorous and memorable outfits that Rihanna has worn for events.

#10: Low-Cut Yellow Gown by Alexandre Vauthier Pre-Show Gala for the 56th Annual Grammy Awards (2014)

The Grammys are an opportunity for stars to shine on the red carpet and one-up each other with daring outfits. Rihanna took that challenge in stride in 2014. For the gala before the big event, the Barbadian singer turned heads in a bright yellow silk gown. Designed by French haute couture designer Alexandre Vauthier, the garment was artfully draped, revealing her chest, tattoos and toned thighs. Though this dress may’ve been a wardrobe malfunction waiting to happen for anyone else, Rihanna made sure the gown stayed in place all night long and totally rocked the tough-to-wear yellow color.

#9: Lacy Two-Piece by Jean-Paul Gaultier 41st American Music Awards (2013)

Rihanna can pull off pretty much anything considering her flawless figure, and she showed it all off at the 2013 AMAs. Jean-Paul Gaultier designed this glittering two-piece outfit that featured a bra top paired with a floor-length mermaid style sheer skirt. To really let the outfit shine, the singer wore her hair slicked back into a gamine style, with edgy silver jewelry accenting the look. That night, RiRi not only took home the award for Favorite Female Artist in the Soul/R&B category; she was also honored with the Icon Award – and this was an ensemble fit for an icon.

#8: Crop Top Ball Gown by Armani Privé 59th Annual Grammy Awards (2017)

This famous nominee showed up fashionably late to the 2017 Grammys, arriving after much of the press had already gone inside. But even when the focus was no longer on the red carpet, RiRi caught people’s attention with an Armani Privé outfit that looked like it was custom-made to show off her midriff tattoos. The sparkly orange crop top was juxtaposed by a dramatic and voluminous black that gave it a high fashion and edgy look. While Rihanna didn’t win any of eight Grammys she was nominated for that year, she did win BIG when it came to making a fashion statement.

#7: White Grecian Dress by Adam Selman 29th Annual MTV Video Music Awards (2012)

Rihanna is known for her bold fashion choices, but she looks great in more conventional looks as well. This slinky white dress by Adam Selman strayed slightly from her typical rocker chick aesthetic, but she still looked glowing and fresh-faced with a bold red lip and cropped hairdo. Featuring a figure-flattering gathered detail at the waist, the Grecian-inspired gown contrasted beautifully with her warm skin tone and dramatically showed off her toned back. She wore this look to the 2012 VMAs, where she was nominated for many awards and took home an important one: Video of the Year, for We Found Love.

#6: Red Sheer Gown by Azzedine Alaia 55th Annual Grammy Awards (2013)

It’s tough to wear red on the red carpet, because it takes that much more effort to stand out. But RiRi stood out and then some at the 2013 Grammys with this crimson gown, which was a near perfect match for the carpet. With a flowing chiffon skirt and bandage-style top with a sheer midriff, this Azzedine Alaïa gown may’ve had a traditional silhouette, but it was still a bit daring, with a short train and dramatic back cutouts. Matching lipstick gave the entire ensemble a cohesive vibe, and made sure Rihanna stood out from the crowd.

#5: White Two-Piece Gown by Stella McCartney Met Gala (2014)

Rocking a body-hugging white look once again, Rihanna stood out in a crop top and skirt combo at the 2014 Met Gala. Giving the ensemble a uniquely modern look, she was all covered up except for her back and midriff. The outfit was designed by Stella McCartney and was very noticeable among the many fabulous looks at fashion’s biggest night out. Her hair was left curly and piled on top of her head and aside from a frosted pinky nude lipstick, the makeup was left simple – but overall she shined bright like a diamond.

#4: Layered Pink Princess Gown by Giambattista Valli 57th Annual Grammy Awards (2015)

This over-the-top empire waisted gown was an attention-grabber, from its bright rosy hue to its interesting silhouette. Fans missed her when she skipped out on the previous year’s Grammy night, so it was fitting that she came back with a bang. Not everyone could’ve pulled this dress off, but Rihanna’s irreverent attitude and undeniable confidence allow her to kill it in whatever she wears – and we gotta say, the dress is a knockout. This Giambattista Valli gown may’ve been haute couture, but the star said she found it on the internet and fell in love with it. What RiRi wants RiRi gets!

#3: Rose-Colored Off-the-Shoulder Gown by Zac Posen 1st Annual Diamond Ball (2014) Founded by Rihanna and named for her grandparents, the Clara Lionel Foundation is a nonprofit that grants funds for a variety of causes worldwide, including healthcare, education and more. At an event in Beverly Hills to raise awareness for her charity, the host wore a Zac Posen dress in a faded ruby shade. Rihanna’s structural gown featured an off-the-shoulder design and a slight mermaid silhouette that flattered her curves. But the pièce de résistance was the bold Chopard choker. Finished off by a glossy merlot lip and a fashion pony, this was an elegant and statuesque look.

#2: Sparkly & Sheer Dress by Adam Selman CFDA Fashion Awards (2014)

Rihanna’s made many a brave fashion choice, but this takes the cake. The Council of Fashion Designers of America Awards are basically the Oscars of the fashion world – so, wearing a daring outfit for this event seems appropriate. Not leaving anything to the imagination in 2014, the singer appeared in a totally sheer mesh gown, gloves and headscarf combo. Designed by Adam Selman, with input from RiRi herself, the dress sparkled with over 230 thousand Swarovski crystals, each of which was added by hand. Rihanna was being awarded the Fashion Icon award that night, and looking at this dress we know exactly why. Before we unveil our top pick, here are a few honorable mentions: - Backless Black Dress by Armani 54th Annual Grammy Awards (2012) - Silky Teal Wrap Dress by Giorgio Armani Stella McCartney Autumn/Winter Presentation for London Fashion Week (2012) - Preppy Lavender Ensemble by Chanel Chanel Autumn/Winter Fashion Show for Paris Fashion Week (2014)

#1: Canary Yellow Dress with Circular Train by Guo Pei Met Gala (2015)

Rihanna has worn many iconic outfits, but none is more memorable that the stunning yellow embroidered Guo Pei dress and cape that she chose for 2015’s Met Gala. RiRi likes to scour the Internet for looks to wear, and that’s where she found this ensemble. The theme of the evening was “China: Through the Looking Glass,” and the singer’s interpretation was undoubtedly the most show stopping of the night. The designer herself said of this dress that “only women who have the confidence of a queen could wear it.” We couldn’t agree more.
