Top 10 Favorite 'Real Housewives' Housewives

Top 10 Favorite 'Real Housewives' Housewives
VOICE OVER: Lisa Yang
We love watching them for the drama that unfolds on the show, though even through the thick of the drama there are some housewives that really stand out. Not all of the housewives are about drama! We've included housewives such as Erika Girardi, Sonja Morgan, Kim Zolciak-Biermann, Luann D'Agostino and Dorinda Medley.

#10: Erika Girardi “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills”

One of the later additions to the series, this lady has only been around since season six of Beverly Hills. She was first introduced as a friend of Yolanda Hadid, but quickly proved that she could hold her own, even amongst the big personalities of her fellow castmates. While she may be a housewife by day, by night Girardi goes by her stage name, Erika Jayne, and has achieved many top dance club hits. We love this star for her generally irreverent behavior, and the fact that she’s wholly committed to just being herself... no matter what the haters say.

#9: Sonja Morgan “The Real Housewives of New York City”

Since joining the Real Housewives of New York City in its third season, Sonja Morgan has consistently done more than her fair share to keep things interesting. Whether in a great mood or the midst of a total meltdown, the only thing she never seems to do is slow down. Whatever the occasion or activity, she approaches it with a sense of confidence that just can’t be diminished. She loves to drink, she loves to hook up with men and she’s always down to have a good time. While we kind of wish, for her sake, that her life could be a little simpler at times, we’re more than happy to be along for the ride.

#8: Kim Zolciak-Biermann “The Real Housewives of Atlanta”

While she may have started out playing second fiddle to NeNe’s big on-screen presence, after some time, Kim undeniably came into her own. A main housewife from seasons one through five of Atlanta, Kim’s departure would’ve been devastating had she not gotten her own spin-off series in the process. Her frequent tendency to fight with friends might make us think twice before going to one of her parties... but we love being privy to her zany world. Between the wigs, her music career and “Big Poppa”, we just couldn’t look away.

#7: Dorinda Medley “The Real Housewives of New York City”

She may have only joined The Real Housewives of New York City in season 7, but since then, Dorinda has become a fan favorite. Though no housewife is perfect, and it seems near impossible to avoid getting dragged into the drama, Dorinda is proof that reality TV stars can be sweet and kind. She’s also quick to defend those she cares for, sometimes, as with boyfriend John, to a fault. Her willingness to let us see vulnerable side, whenever discussing the loss of her husband, only makes her all the more relatable. It’s no surprise that the other housewives seem to trust her - we’d feel comfortable opening up to her too!

#6: Luann D’Agostino “The Real Housewives of New York City”

The Countess is in it for the long haul, having appeared on the show since the first season with only a short hiatus when she no longer lived in New York. While many housewives from the various series attempt to show class, Luann is among the few who seem to genuinely exude it with no effort. And while she’s big on etiquette and decorum, she can still let her hair down - or get down and dirty when the circumstances call for it. While her musical offerings may leave something to be desired… we think she’s got enough going for her that she doesn't need to bother with the crossover efforts. She’s already got it all. #5: Kandi Burruss

Kandi has been around since season two of the show, and has stuck it out into the later seasons. While she is typically one of the more level-headed housewives in Atlanta, Kandi has had her share of dramatic moments. Often however, these take place when she feels the need to defend her family or act as a mama bear to her kids, making such displays impressive more than anything else. While various housewives have attempted music careers, Kandi actually has genuine talent and clout in the industry. She co-wrote the TLC classic “No Scrubs,” and that pretty much gives her a lifetime of credibility.

#4: Camille Grammer “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills”

While she may have been considered the villain of the first season of Beverly Hills by many, after her divorce from actor Kelsey Grammer, Camille actually ended up as the voice of reason on the show. She didn’t remain a main housewife for long, but she used her time to attempt to help Taylor get out of her abusive relationship. She was pretty vicious while she was dealing with her husband’s infidelity, but we can excuse her for that all things considered. The fact that she was able to turn her reputation around and then leave the show at the height of her popularity is pretty impressive - and makes a true Real Housewives legend.

#3: Kyle Richards “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills”

Beautiful, catty and unabashedly self-interested, Kyle is everything we want out of a housewife. She has consistently managed to make everything about herself and yet stay in our good books while appearing in every season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. She is definitely no saint, and never holds back when she’s got something on her mind. She even called her own sister and fellow Real Housewife Kim an alcoholic on camera. Kim and Kyle’s limo fight... is easily one of the most memorable of any season of Housewives. Whether you love her, or enjoy hate-watching her, there’s no denying that Kyle Richards has been crucial to making this show the success it is.

#2: Teresa Giudice “The Real Housewives of New Jersey”

When you think of the Real Housewives of New Jersey, Teresa Giudice’s face is probably the first thing that pops into your head. For many viewers, Theresa falls squarely into the “Housewives we love to hate” category. Teresa holds the honor of being the only Housewife to actually go to prison and come back to appear on the show. She was the star of one of Housewives’ most iconic moments, the epic table flipping scene in the first season of the show. While she may be totally unpredictable, a loose cannon and the biggest source of conflict on the show, we can’t deny that we love watching her do it.

#1: Lisa Vanderpump “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills”

Our number one spot has to go to the housewife who has made us laugh the most, from her relationship with her husband (where she keeps no secrets about their sex life, or lack thereof), her ridiculous dog and her ability to always make a witty joke. Her classy British-ness adds to her allure and it doesn’t hurt that she lives in a literal mansion for the first couple of seasons before deciding to downsize. Lisa usually manages to keep her cool, and has rarely been given occasion to totally lose it on camera. She’s never going to get into a major screaming match because her style is more subtle manipulation, and it’s simply wonderful.
