The Front Runner: Cuisinart 14-Cup Programmable Coffeemaker

If you want your cup of brew waiting for you when you wake up in the morning, then a programmable machine is a must. This DCC-3200 model from Cuisinart features a flexible 24-hour program setting and can make one to four cups, all the way up to 14 cups. Priced at around $100, you can also adjust the machine’s brew strength and temperature. Digitaltrends called it “one of the most convenient, versatile coffee rigs on the market.”

The Deluxe: Technivorm Moccamaster KBG

If you don’t mind investing in your coffee – and you want something that looks hella impressive – then this $300 Technivorm model is definitely worth a go. Renowned for its excellent build quality and easy-to-clean set-up, the Moccamaster is capable of brewing 10 cups at a time, and demonstrates brilliant temperature control thanks to its hot plate. And, it’s available in a baffling amount of colors.

The Budget Option: Mr. Coffee Easy Measure

Not all of us are coffee connoisseurs – and frankly, some of us just want to click a button and not have to deal with complicated settings. That’s where the $45 Mr. Coffee Easy Measure comes in. Called a “no-brainer to program” by Wirecutter, the 12-cup Easy Measure model is an incredibly compact, simple-to-use coffee maker that, irrespective of price, makes an excellent cup of joe.

The Cold Brew Option: OXO Good Grips Cold Brew Coffee Maker

Cold coffee isn’t for everyone. But if it’s your cup of tea – pun intended – then this OXO model will ensure a smooth, low-acid cup, every time. It’s also very affordable at just $50, so even if you’re not a daily cold brew drinker, it won’t cost you much to give it a go. It also stacks away in a tidy self-contained manner for convenient storage.

The Single Server: Ninja Specialty Coffee Maker

Although capable of producing multiple cups of coffee at once, this $150 Ninja model is really aimed at those who want to personalize their own single-brewing experience. With its pod-free set-up, users can choose their favorite type of beans. And, thanks to an included milk frothing wand (in addition to a thermal carafe), you have the freedom to create everything from tasty cold brew, to delicious frothy lattes.

So which coffee maker should you choose? Well, most machines nowadays make great quality coffee, so just be sure you decide how personalized you want your coffee, and how many cups you want to make at once, before you buy.
