Are The Incredibles And DC Supervillains Getting Their Own Lego Games?

The Bad Guys Get A Chance To Shine

Lego currently has a monopoly not only on toy stores but also on video games and the box office. The success of The Lego Movie and The Lego Batman Movie as well as the revenue from its numerous licensed games are a testament to that. Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Jurassic Park, Marvel, DC, if its popular enough then you can bet there will be a Lego version out before you know it.

As you might expect, they show no signs of slowing down, with an article on Eurogamer revealing that they’ve already started developments on two new games. One of these happens to contain Pixar’s superheroic First Family, while the other seems to strangely be focusing on Batman and Superman’s rogues gallery.

Lego games themed around Pixar’s The Incredibles 2 and DC’s roster of comic book villains are both in development at TT Games.

Both games are expected to arrive this year, which will of course also see the release of The Incredibles 2 in June.

Also due this year is TT Games’ latest DC Comics tie-in, following a trilogy of Lego Batman launches. Instead of a fourth Batman-fronted title, TT Games is making a game which stars a large cast of DC baddies, Eurogamer understands, so expect to see The Joker, Lex Luthor, Harley Quinn and more.

Given it has a much-anticipated sequel just around the corner, its expected that a Lego version of The Incredibles would eventually crop up. What really has us puzzled is the DC villain based game, which from the sounds of it seems like it might go the Lego Dimensions route of a somewhat original narrative. Either way, we’ll take any excuse to bash in some bricks as Harley Quinn and the Joker!
