Hawaii Volcanoes National Park

Hawaii Volcanoes National Park is found on Hawaii’s Big Island, and is a popular site to visit in the state. This national park features two of the world’s most active volcanoes. Because of these volcanoes, the geography and landscape of this park are in constant flux, being reshaped by flowing lava. The park has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987 because of this, and because of unique bird- and plant-life found within.

Hanauma Bay

Found on the southeastern coast of the island of Oahu, Hanauma Bay is one of Hawaii’s most popular attractions. Both a popular swimming location and nature reserve, the area is famous for its turtles.

Kilauea Lighthouse

The Kilauea Lighthouse is found on the island of Kauai, and is part of a Wildlife Refuge. An icon of the area’s history, the lighthouse once aided safe travel along the rough shores.

Pearl Harbor

Found at Pearl Harbor in Honolulu, the USS Arizona Memorial is visited by more than a million people each year. Commemorating those who were killed on the USS Arizona in the attack on Pearl Harbor during World War II, the sunken ship is visible beneath the water’s surface.
