Aside from finally confirming the name of the fricken movie, this trailer is again loaded with badass moments and easter eggs, so join us as we break down the three biggest!

#3: Deadpool and the Raiders of the Lost References

Filmmakers love to play with the fourth wall in clever and subtle ways, but Deadpool don’t give a F**K! With Derpinder returning as wade wilson’s driver, this trailer kicks off with a reference to Raiders of the Lost Ark, and it doesn’t stop there. Wilson takes every opportunity to point out action movie clichés, and even ends the trailer by trashing third movies in superhero franchises The merc labels Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants as Pure Pornography; an cheeky shout-out to Reynold’s real life wife Blake Lively, who starred in the franchise.

#2: Who’s that F**king Kid?!

The trailer centers on a very terminator inspired premise: Cable’s come back in time to kill a mutant kid played by Julian Dennison. Details are scarce on who this character is and why Cable wants him dead though. It’s clear he’s got some kind of fire-powers, that means he could be Toro, a young Sunfire, Starbolt, or any other fire-wielding X-men. Or maybe the filmmakers decided to prank all you comic book fans, and make up a completely new character. How’s that for a hot take?

#1: A Different Kind of X-Force

The X-Force has a long history in Marvel comics, and no one is more excited than us to see it appear in the Deadpool sequel. Comic fans probably recognized a few differences between this X-Force and the comic one. For one, Cable’s usually been its leader, with Deadpool being introduced later on down the publication line. The movie’s right to have Domino as an original member, but the other members are harder to place. The original roster includes Boom-Boom, Feral, Shatterstar, and Warpath. Terry Crews could be Warpath, but beyond that we’re just going to have to watch the movie on May 18th to find out.
