Which TV cast reunion made you smile the most? Let us know in those comments.

#10: “And Just Like That…” (2021-)
“Sex and the City” (1998-2004)

The “Sex and the City” ladies, sans Samantha, returned to our screens in 2021 for the first time in over ten years. The revival series “And Just Like That…” is a sequel to the original show. It follows Carrie, Miranda, and Charlotte as they navigate their fifties in the city. The series gave us the chance to catch up with the girls and see how they’re coping in today’s world. The show received mixed reviews but it was great to see the beloved characters back together again. They’re older - if not wiser - but just as glamorous as ever. The revival might not have the magic of the original, but it’s still a whole lot of fun.

#9: "Dear Class of 2020" (2020)
“Schitt’s Creek” (2015-20)

“Schitts Creek” may only have been off the air for a month, but the cast still jumped at the opportunity to reunite in character during summer 2020. They joined a star-studded line-up – which included the Obamas – for a virtual graduation ceremony broadcast to students across America. The cast shared some banter but also delivered a heartfelt message of support to teachers, followed by a surprisingly emotional performance of “Hero” by Mariah Carey. The songstress, who has often been name-checked on the comedy show, even made an appearance. Before departing, she serenaded Dan Levy’s David with a snippet of “Always Be My Baby.”

#8: Pilot Table Read (2020)
“The Nanny” (1993-99)

By the end of 2020, we were all sick to death of virtual quizzes and zoom calls. But there’s definitely something to be said for the amount of nostalgia content that celebrities were churning out to keep us entertained. Nineties sitcom “The Nanny” was just one of many TV shows to bring the cast back together. The actors took part in a table read of the pilot, which follows Fran Fine’s first day as the Sheffield children’s nanny. They had loads of fun with it, even digging into the prop box and getting dressed up. There was also a rendition of the theme song by the show’s composer, Ann Hampton Callaway.

#7: Table Read & Q&A (2020)
“Community” (2009-15)

In another virtual reunion from the 2020 batch, the “Community” cast came together for a table read. Naturally, breakout star Donald Glover was in attendance. “Mandalorian” cast member Pedro Pascal - who was not on the sitcom – appeared too! After performing “Cooperative Polygraphy” - the bottle episode from season five - we got to see the group answer some questions. To the delight of the fans, they revealed that they’d love to do a movie one day. The reunion was hosted in support of COVID relief. Funds went to Frontline Foods and José Andrés’ World Central Kitchen, who helped those in need during the pandemic.

#6: Entertainment Weekly Interview (2018)
“Dawson’s Creek” (1998-2003)

The seminal teen drama “Dawson’s Creek” wrapped in 2003, back when the cast were younger, beautiful and instantly recognizable to people of a certain age. They reunited for their 20th anniversary in 2018 - a little more mature in appearance, but still as gorgeous as ever. Talking with Entertainment Weekly, they shared their memories of being on the show, their favorite groundbreaking storylines, and of course, they discussed that meme. The actors behind Dawson, Joey, Pacey, Jen, Jack, Audrey, and more were there, and it was a joy. We also got to hear from creator Kevin Williamson, who gave us some new and fascinating insights into the series. It was definitely great to see the gang back together again.

#5: Drake’s “I’m Upset” Music Video (2018)
“Degrassi: The Next Generation” (2001-15)

Everybody loves a cast reunion, but too often the biggest stars don’t bother to show up. And then there’s Drake. In the video for “I’m Upset” the rapper reunited his Degrassi cast mates in the halls that started it all. The combination of new content with the classic setting was an epic nostalgia trip for the fans and the actors alike. Plus, they all seemed to be having the time of their lives – and we were right there with them. Shane Kippel, who played Spinner on the show, wrote on Instagram: “All of the energy, laughter and fun captured in the video was as naturally occurring and genuine as can be.” We could tell, and we’re forever grateful!

#4: A “Seinfeld” Storyline (2009)
“Curb Your Enthusiasm” (2000-)

On “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” “Seinfeld” co-creator Larry David plays a fictionalized version of himself. In 2009, his two shows came together in a creative and unusual way. In a series of tongue-in-cheek episodes from season seven, “Seinfeld”s four primary cast members are among those brought together for a reunion show. The ensuing table read is exaggerated and feels super meta - but it’s also a lot of fun. The “Curb” crew even went the extra mile, recreating the old “Seinfeld” sets in a pretty accurate manner, with just a few modern touches. HBO promoted the episodes with the cruel and unusual tagline “it’s not a reunion, but it’s the closest you’ll get.”

#3: "A ‘Parks and Recreation’ Special" (2020)
“Parks and Recreation” (2009-15; 2020)

When “Parks and Rec” first came to an end in 2015, the creators never intended to resurrect it years down the line. But then, COVID-19 came calling, and the cast joined forces to entertain the fans while raising money to fight the deadly virus’ societal effects. The half hour special sees Leslie Knope checking up on her old colleagues while everyone’s in quarantine during the pandemic. Cast members including Amy Poehler, Rashida Jones, and Rob Lowe returned for the virtual meet-up and gave us all some much-needed laughs. They also managed to rack up $2.8 Million in donations. What more could you ask for?!

#2: "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air Reunion" (2020)
“The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” (1990-96)

The fans may still be able to sing each word of the theme song without missing a beat, but it’s been over twenty-five years since the “Fresh Prince” wrapped its final season. Are you feeling old yet? The groundbreaking sitcom focused around a Black family living in a Bel-Air mansion. It made us laugh while busting stereotypes, and catapulted Will Smith to stardom. In 2020, the cast came together to film a reunion special for HBO Max. They told funny stories, put old grievances to bed, and paid tribute to the late James Avery, who played Uncle Phil in the show and sadly died in 2013.

Before we unveil our top pick, here are a few honorable mentions.

“Bombshell in Concert” (2020),“Smash” (2012-13)
The Cast Reunited & Streamed the 2015 Concert

World Central Kitchen Benefit (2020),“The X-Files” (1993-2002; 2016;18)
That Iconic Theme Song Finally Got Some Lyrics

Remembering Naya Rivera (2021), “Glee” (2009-15)
Much of the Gang Showed Up to Honor the Late Actress’ Memory

“14TH Annual IMF Virtual Comedy Celebration” (2020),“Everybody Loves Raymond” (1996-2005)
Everybody Loves a Reunion, Especially for a Good Cause

#1: “Friends: The Reunion” (2021)
“Friends” (1994-2004)

Ever since we said goodbye to the iconic nineties sitcom, there’s been talk of a “Friends” reunion. So we never got a movie or a revival series - but would that really have been a good idea? The reunion special was a nice compromise and just felt uniformly lovely. There were some great celeb cameos, but the best part was seeing the cast back together on the old sets, laughing and reminiscing. It was all more emotional than any of us had expected. The old chemistry was still there, and they even got us shipping Ross and Rachel again. All in all, this reunion was a welcome nostalgia trip that fully understood the assignment.
