Welcome to MojoPlays, and today we’re looking at 10 secret items in Cyberpunk 2077, and its Phantom Liberty expansion, that most people didn’t (or couldn’t) find. Did we miss any? Let us know in the comments below.
#10: Ba Xing Chong
This incredible SMART gun is an iconic shotgun that homes in on your enemies, making it perfect for taking out groups behind cover. Once belonging to antagonist Adam Smasher, V can find the crafting spec for the gun after killing Smasher and looting his Access Token. Once you do, be on the lookout for the chest in the locked room you find after the fight for your reward. This powerful weapon is very easy to miss, so make sure you pick it up when you’re on the home stretch of the main quest.
#9: Skippy the Talking Gun
This annoying little bastard is also unfortunately one of the most unique weapons in the game. The Rihanna-humming pistol can be found next to a dead body in an alley in the Vista Dey Rey area of the Heywood neighborhood, triggering the Machine Gun questline. Another easy one to miss, if you decide to keep the gun instead of returning it to Regina Jones for 7,000 Eurodollars, you’ll have the option to set it to Stone Cold Killer or Puppy-Loving Pacifist modes. The former essentially gives you automatic headshots, making Skippy a great addition to any run-and-gun build.
#8: Rasetsu
This incredibly powerful Tech sniper rifle is found only in the game’s Phantom Liberty DLC. You can charge up its shots, and if you hit an enemy, it will bounce to other random enemies, making this a great way to clear out baddies from afar. Part of Phantom Liberty’s main quest, V will find Rasetsu during the You Know My Name mission at the top of the Black Sapphire. It’s unmissable, and even if you aren’t running a sniper build, you can’t deny the sheer bad-assery of this gun.
#7: Satori
The iconic Katana that once belonged to Saboru Arasaka is another missable item from the Heist main quest that is perfect for melee-style builds. It allows you to leap at distant enemies, closing the gap to slice their freakin’ heads off before they even have a chance to get off a shot. To find it, climb up onto the penthouse roof after coming out from cover to take out some Arasaka thugs. Then, open the helicopter doors to claim your prize. If you happen to miss it on your first go around, the sword can also be purchased at the Petrochem Stadium shop from Herold Lowe.
#6: Gold-Plated Baseball Bat
I didn’t even know this existed until I started research for this video! Found during the Second Conflict side job, the Gold-Plated Baseball Bat can be picked up after Denny throws it into her pool after a bit of dialogue. Jump in the pool, and the bat is yours. What makes this unique, aside from its awesome gold design, is that it has a very high chance to apply the Bleeding status effect, and a lower chance to stun your target. Batter up, baby.
#5: Doom Doom
Doom Doom is extremely easy to miss, as most players can make choices very early on in the main story that will make the Power revolver unavailable forever. Just like the Gold-Plated Baseball Bat, Doom Doom is found in the Second Conflict side job. Before that, however, it’s imperative that you play your cards right and make the right dialogue choices with Royce and Dum Dum during the Pickup main quest. If you do, the duo will pop up much later on for a different questline. You’ll have to follow a guide, as it’s much too complicated and convoluted to explain here, but you will eventually be able to obtain the powerful, 3-round firing revolver.
#4: Rayfield Caliburn
Also known as the Murkmobile, this iconic variant of one of the sickest rides in the game is essentially Cyberpunk 2077’s equivalent to the Batmobile. You’ll find it at the end of the Murk Man Returns Again Once More Forever side job, in the Rock Ridge mines. You need 40 Street Cred and to have already completed the Ghost Town main quest to have this show up on your map, and you’ll want to beeline straight to it once it does. While it has the same stats as the purchasable Caliburn models, the Murkmobile sports a sleek all-back exterior and super clean white and green interior. Mobbing around Night City in this bad boy will surely impress all of your chooms.
#3: Militech Canto Mk. 6
Easily one of the most powerful Cyberdecks in the game, Militech’s Canto Mk. 6 is found in the Phantom Liberty main quest Somewhat Damaged. It’s another one that’s easy to miss - look around the Experimental Prototyping room in the Cynosure Facility for the crafting spec. This bad boy comes with a whopping 10 RAM units, and 4 quickhack slots, but the cherry on top of this already impressive hardware is the built-in Blackwall Gateway quickhack, which allows V to cause lethal damage and have it spread to any enemy within 20 meters. This is an essential pick-up for any Netrunner builds.
#2: Johnny Silverhand’s Items
Closer to the end of the main quest, V can find all of Johnny’s clothes, including his tank top, pants, shoes, jacket, and aviators, but also his vintage Porsche 911 Turbo and his iconic Power pistol, the Malorian Arms 3516. All of these are missable, except the tank top, weirdly enough, and you’ll have to jump through some especially tricky hoops to find the car and gun. At the end of Johnny’s side job quest Chippin’ In, you’ll have the opportunity to nab the car from a shipping container on the Ebunike ship, and you’ll get the gun from Jeremiah Grayson. The clothing items aren’t the best in terms of stats, but rocking that Samurai Jacket is a great trophy for V’s adventure. For me personally, the gun is the best part - it’s semi-automatic, deals a ton of damage, and if you do a quick melee attack, ignites the enemy for even more damage for the low cost of remaining loaded bullets. Yes please.
#1: Pet Iguana
Yes, that’s right, a pet iguana. Another one I was fully unaware of until researching this video, the pet iguana is probably the best kept secret in Cyberpunk 2077. Added in with the game’s 1.5 patch, you can find the Iguana Egg miscellaneous item in Yorinobu’s penthouse during the Heist main quest. Then, after completing the quest Playing for Time, a bowl in V’s apartment will show up where you can place the egg. Do this, then wait 90 in-game days for it to hatch, and voila! You have a pet iguana. We wouldn’t hold it against you if you missed this, as it isn’t the most obvious collectible in the game, but it sure makes for some great decor for V’s apartment if you play long enough to see it through.
