Born September 2nd, 1957, American athlete Tony Alva is considered one of history's most influential skateboarders. The Santa Monica, California native is one of the original members of the Z-Boys skate team, which invented many of the moves now used in aerial skateboarding. Alva was the first skater to win the title of world champion in professional skateboarding in 1977.
