Alzheimer's Disease in Theatre

in: hosted by Christine Rodriguez

Alzheimer's Disease in Theatre Alzheimer’s disease and related dementia are terrible illnesses, from which there is no recovery. It is predicted that by 2050, 1 in 85 people worldwide will suffer from Alzheimer’s. This disease robs its victims of their memories and personalities, and also deeply affects those around them. The play 'Swan Song of Maria' follows a sufferer through the stages of the disease, as she tries to recapture the love she had with her husband before it is forever lost. In this video, WatchMojo.com visits the Black Theatre Workshop to learn more about this play, and about the effects of Alzheimer’s disease. For more information, click Here
