The Vaccination Debate

Vaccination has been credited with reducing the spread of many serious diseases and illnesses, including smallpox and polio. Though it may cause side effects, the medical community says the benefits outweigh any potential negative consequences. In recent years, the anti-vaccine camp has gained steam, with celebrity spokespeople – such as Jenny McCarthy and Jim Carrey – championing the cause.
