Charles Gounod's Faust: Legendary French Opera
First performed on March 19th, 1859, the Charles Gounod opera "Faust" tells the timeless tale of a man who makes a deal with the devil. Of course, there is much more to the story, but this narrative has been explored countless times since it was originally written by Johann Wolfgang von Goethe in 1808.
