Part of the promotion for the Foo Fighters new album Wasting Light includes the band going on a mini “garage tour” where they’re performing in the garages of lucky fans. This is in reference to the fact that the entire album was recorded with analog tapes in Dave Grohl’s own personal garage. There’s not much to say about this other than AWESOME. During an Iron Maiden (yeah, apparently they are still touring) concert in Bogotá, Columbia Saturday, riots broke out when fans tried to gatecrash. Rioters and police clashed, and over 100 people were arrested. Police used tear gas, and one officer was injured when fans started throwing rocks. It has sparked a local debate on whether the area should host future heavy metal concerts. Read more…
