And the award for Best Dressed goes to… Welcome to MsMojo and today we’ll be counting down our picks for the Top 10 Best Looks at the 2019 Golden Globes.

For this list, we’re taking a look at celebrities who owned the red carpet with their bold fashion choices at the 76th Golden Globe Awards.

#10: Emily Blunt & John Krasinski

“A Quiet Place” is just one of the reasons why Emily Blunt and John Krasinski were arguably the It Couple of 2018. Unsurprisingly, they were also the most adorable couple at the Golden Globes. Nominated for her uplifting performance in “Mary Poppins Returns,” Blunt appeared practically perfect in her silver Alexander McQueen dress paired with Neil Lane jewelry. The material beneath Blunt’s dress complemented her skin tone, making the lacey fabric look as if it had been spray-painted onto the actress’ body. Krasinski looked equally sharp in his navy-blue tuxedo and black bowtie. Exchanging loving glances on the red carpet, these two are simply sweeter than a spoonful of sugar.

#9: Emmy Rossum

Rossum is a natural beauty, but she isn’t afraid to get down and dirty on “Shameless.” If you know her best for playing Fiona Gallagher, watching Rossum arrive at the Golden Globes was like seeing Cinderella show up to the ball. Some actresses may shy away from wearing pink, as it can come off as cliché and a shade better-suited for prom night. Rossum, however, was the definition of pretty in pink in her Monique Lhuillier gown and Roger Vivier shoes. Fluffier than a cloud, this dress bloomed with personality and the same can be said about the actress who donned it.

#8: Gemma Chan

Nominated for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, “Crazy Rich Asians” showcased an array of ravishing costumes worthy of a red carpet event. The cast reunited at the Golden Globes and Gemma Chan was the center of attention in her Maison Valentino Couture ensemble. Draped in blue, Chan flooded the Beverly Hilton with serious ocean vibes. This high-low dress revealed the English-born actress’ flawless legs, as well as a pair of Louboutin shoes that matched the rest of her dazzling outfit. The back of the dress was wrapped up in an elongated bow, making Chan look every bit as appealing as a wedding present.

#7: Alison Brie

As a female wrestler on “GLOW,” Alison Brie has sported some pretty over-the-top outfits. So, it’s only appropriate that her Golden Globes dress was classy while also being offbeat. Decorated in sky-blue, Brie’s Vera Wang tulle dress had everyone in her presence aflutter. What really made the ensemble stand out, though, was the shimmering bra top under Brie’s V-neck. It was a risky fashion move, but one that ultimately paid off with stunning results. Brie nearly endured a wardrobe malfunction when her dress’ lengthy train got a little caught, but husband Dave Franco was fortunately there to lend a helping hand.

#6: Sandra Oh

In addition to co-hosting the ceremony with Andy Samberg, Sandra Oh took home the award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Drama. The Canadian-born actress made multiple costume changes throughout the night, including an arresting red dress, but she wore her most exquisite outfit prior to the telecast. Oh channeled a classic Hollywood look with a white gown worthy of Marilyn Monroe. Her curly hairdo and graceful makeup only added to this timeless look. Given the confrontational relationship their characters share on “Killing Eve,” it’s fitting that Oh wore all white while co-star Jodie Comer donned all black. Whether this was a coincidence or planned, their pairing was easily a highlight.

#5: Penélope Cruz

Cruz never fails to light up the red carpet with her sophisticated fashion choices and unyielding beauty. She didn’t disappoint at this year’s Golden Globes, blowing us away in Ralph & Russo Couture. Cruz was nominated that night for her performance as Donatella Versace, the grieving sister of designer Gianni Versace on “American Crime Story.” With that in mind, it’s rather poetic that Cruz would don a color often associated with funerals. At the same time, Cruz livened up her look with sparkling accents sprinkled throughout the gown. This ultimately gave the dress the all-encompassing sensation of looking up at a night sky occupied by a legion of stars.

#4: Jameela Jamil

As Tahani Al-Jamil on “The Good Place,” this British actress portrays the epitome of class. We wouldn’t be surprised if Jamil raided Tahani’s wardrobe for the Golden Globes. Jamil looked like a blossoming pink flower in her Monique Lhuillier gown embellished with an embroidered floral design. Her strapless dress came complete with a ruffled skirt that can only be described as a work of art. As tasteful as Jamil appeared, her ensemble is actually more casual than you may think. On her way to the event, Jamil shared on Twitter that she was wearing jeans underneath this enchanting dress. Why? “Because it’s forking COLD,” as Jamil hilariously put it.

#3: Regina King

Winning Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture for her performance in “If Beale Street Could Talk,” this consistently-excellent character actress gave one of the night’s most effective acceptance speeches, taking a stand for equal representation of women in Hollywood. King not only left a strong impression through her powerful words, but with her striking dress as well. This strapless Alberta Ferretti ensemble perfectly accentuated King’s figure with glittering pink sequins running from top to bottom. King’s silver jewelry and simple makeup further contributed to her refined presence, amounting to a red carpet look fit for a queen.

#2: Lili Reinhart

Even though Reinhart wasn’t up for any awards at this year’s Golden Globes, or presenting one, the “Riverdale” star practically stole the show. From the second she appeared the red carpet in a fiery gown paired with matching shoes and eyeshadow, all eyes were on her. This ruffled Khyeli Couture dress sizzled with the essence of a red rose. With exception to Reinhart’s pulled back hair, there’s little traces of Betty Cooper’s good girl image here. We’re sure Betty’s classmates at Riverdale High would kill to get their hands on this stunning dress for homecoming.

Before we get to our top pick, here are a few honorable mentions:

KiKi Layne
Julia Roberts
Kristen Bell
Saoirse Ronan
Thandie Newton

#1: Lady Gaga

Ever since “A Star Is Born” premiered at the Venice International Film Festival, Lady Gaga has rocked one romantic look after another on the red carpet. Gaga went big for the Golden Globes where she decked herself in an extravagant Valentino Haute Couture dress and Tiffany diamonds. Dyeing her hair blue to match her larger than life ensemble, Gaga’s gown paid homage - accidentally! - to the dress Judy Garland wore in the 1954 version of “A Star Is Born.” Gaga brings a modern sensibility to the dress, however, maintaining her own eccentric flare. Throw in a win for Best Original Song and Gaga was the brightest star at this year’s Golden Globes by a wide margin.
