Top 10 Best Mandy Moore Looks

This actress has made a serious comeback, in both her career and her personal style. Welcome to MsMojo, and today we’ll be counting down our picks for the Top 10 Best Mandy Moore Looks.

For this list, we’re looking at Mandy Moore’s best ever fashion moments.

#10: Black Jumpsuit by Cushnie et Ochs

"The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" (2017)

In 2017, Mandy Moore made an appearance on Jimmy Fallon’s talk show to promote her crazy successful show, “This Is Us”. While her character, Rebecca, opts for more demure feminine looks on the show, Moore herself went modern in a stunning black jumpsuit by Cushnie et Ochs. The tailoring was spot on, and the cut outs felt perfectly placed to show off Moore’s figure without being gratuitous. The cropped cut of the pants was fresh and unique, showing off an unusual silhouette that totally worked.

#9: Orange One Shoulder Gown by Solace London

“48th NAACP Image Awards” (2017)

Moore was acting as a presenter at the NAACP Image Awards in 2017 and appeared with her “This Is Us” cast mate Sterling K. Brown. The dress she chose for the occasion featured a simple and classic silhouette but stood out because of the bold color choice. The tangerine-hued piece by Solace London was a bright spot on the red carpet and complemented Moore’s complexion, making her look like a golden goddess. Aside from a pair of earrings by Irene Neuwirth, Moore kept her hair, makeup and accessories to a minimum.

#8: Modest Pale Blue Gown

“49th NAACP Image Awards” (2018)

Mandy Moore looked every bit the fairytale princess in the gown she chose for the NAACP Image Awards in 2018. Appearing again with one of her “This Is Us” co-stars, Moore opted this time for a vintage-looking powder blue dress with a rounded neckline and slightly exaggerated sleeves. She even matched her eyeshadow to the color of the gown, which may seem like a real early aughts flashback, but it somehow totally worked. To avoid the ensemble being too matchy-matchy, she wore a pair of bright pink shoes and carried a red clutch.

#7: Cobalt Blue Illusion Neckline Gown by Monique Lhuillier

“68th Golden Globe Awards” (2011)

Back in 2011, years before Moore wowed TV audiences in “This Is Us”, she was still killing it on the red carpet. She attended the Golden Globes that year because “Tangled”, the Disney animated film in which she voiced the main character, was nominated for Best Animated Feature. The movie may not have taken home the prize, but Moore still won a spot on many best-dressed lists due to her fairy tale Monique Lhuillier gown. The mermaid style silhouette was incredibly flattering, and the bold blue color stood out against the red carpet.

#6: Red Dress with Floral Applique by Jenny Packham

“19th Costume Designers Guild Awards“ (2017)

Mandy Moore hosted the 19th annual CDGA (Costume Designers Guild Awards) in 2017, and wore a bold red gown for the occasion. Considering the event is meant to honor fashion, it’s no surprise that she chose something with a little extra flair. The crimson-colored Jenny Packham dress featured a long textured overskirt with a miniskirt slip visible underneath. The semi-sheer outer layer was made of lace and a delicate floral applique was added for even more texture. The fact that she paired it with a pale pink lip made this outfit even more daring.

#5: Black Gown With Red Sash by Rosie Assoulin

“75th Golden Globe Awards” (2018)

The 2018 Golden Globes were marked by the #metoo movement, with the vast majority of women on the red carpet opting to wear black in solidarity with one another. Moore followed the dress code for the evening, but added some visual interest by pairing her black Rosie Assoulin gown with a bold red sash. Was that stripe of red making a political statement of its own? We can’t be sure, but we know the final effect was a striking one. The dress’s neckline was unique, baring the actress’s shoulders and showing off her toned physique.

#4: Cobalt Blue Sequin Slip Dress by Ralph Lauren Collection

“24th Screen Actors Guild Awards” (2018)

At the 2018 SAG Awards, the cast of “This Is Us” took home the prize for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series. Clearly the leading ladies of the show decided to coordinate their outfits for the occasion, because Moore’s cobalt blue Ralph Lauren Collection gown perfectly matched her co-stars Chrissy Metz and Susan Kelechi Watson. The slinky slip dress that Moore chose was fully adorned with tiny sequins, giving the dress a subtle shimmer that was anything but gaudy. Her simple hair and makeup provided the perfect backdrop for the dress.

#3: Ruffled Marigold Gown by Prabal Gurung

“68th Primetime Emmy Awards” (2016)

At the Emmy Awards in 2016, Mandy Moore attended as a presenter, appearing alongside America Ferrera to hand out an award. She wore a striking marigold yellow dress, in a shade that was just starting to become trendy that year. The hue is extremely flattering on her bronzed skin, and the fact that she paired it with a vibrant colored lip was the perfect complement. The halter neckline and ruffles throughout gave the gown a somewhat retro look, but the fact that the lower panels of the dress were semi-sheer made it much more contemporary.

#2: Black Cape Gown by Naeem Khan

“74th Golden Globe Awards” (2017)

Of all the fashion choices Mandy Moore has made over the years, this one may be one of the most daring, but it totally paid off. At the Golden Globes in 2017, Moore was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Series, Miniseries, or Motion Picture for TV for her role on “This Is Us”. For the occasion, she wore an ensemble by Naeem Khan that had a seriously plunging neckline as well as a cape feature. The dress would have been simple (though flattering!) without the cape incorporated, but this extra element really brought it to the next level.

Before we unveil our top pick, here are a few honorable mentions.

Tea Length Pink Organza Dress by Carolina Herrera

D23 (2017)

Pale Pink Bell Sleeved Dress by Roksanda

“Tangled: Before Ever After” Screening (2017)

Black and Red High Low Colorblock Dress by Adeam

“This Is Us” Finale Screening (2017)

#1: Sparkling Illusion Gown by Monique Lhuillier

“83rd Academy Awards” (2011)

Alongside her co-star Zachary Levi, Moore performed her Best Original Song nominated tune from “Tangled”, 'I See the Light' at the 2011 Oscars. But on the red carpet was where she really stunned, in a gorgeous gown by Monique Lhuillier. The mid section of the dress featured sequins in a variety of sizes, lending a glimmering effect to the final look. The barely noticeable illusion neckline made it appear as though the dress was simply painted on, because the sheer fabric blended in seamlessly with Moore’s skin tone. By pulling her hair back, she let the dress get all the attention it deserved.
