Top 10 Sexy Male TV Vampires

There’s nothing more sinfully sexy than a man who knows how to bite. Welcome to MsMojo and today we’ll be counting down the top 10 Sexy Male TV Vampires.

For this list, we’re taking a look at the most toothsome male vampires television has to offer and that have bewitched us with their passion, dangerous allure, and devious good looks.

#10: Dracula / Alexander Grayson
“Dracula” (2013–14)

First up is a character who’s made us hot and bothered for over a hundred years. Dracula’s story has been told so many times that the persona is almost as much a part of our collective conscious as Jesus Christ. With this constant retelling is an ever-changing image of the man himself. You could definitely say that Jonathan Rhys Meyers’ version is a grand departure from the great Bela Lugosi’s. His inherent charm, sex appeal, and piercing gaze that will make you instantly hot or cold are all designed to turn you into his next victim. But frankly, some of us wouldn’t mind that one bit.

#9: John Mitchell
“Being Human” [UK] (2008–2013)

Although John Mitchell acts like the older brother to his two roommates, who are a ghost and a werewolf, there’s nothing brotherly about the way you want him to sink his sharp teeth into you. At least we hope not. That Irish accent and easygoing attitude, combined with his thick, black locks and smoldering dark stare make it hard to resist his charms. Although he tries his best to be a good guy, there’s just enough bad boy in him to make you want to tempt those fangs out.

#8: Elijah Mikaelson
“The Originals” (2013–)

Compared to his brothers and many vampires on this list, Elijah is like an aged wine: refined, delicious, and apt to make your head spin. He’s the first of the family to be introduced to us in “The Vampire Diaries,” and our infatuation quickly starts to grow when we realize just how bloody handsome this smooth-talking family man is. Played by Daniel Gillies, Elijah tries to hide his decent nature behind a quiet demeanor and power suit. Unlike his brother, he’s not the flashy type, which, on top of making our toes curl, also makes our hearts melt.

#7: Aidan Waite
“Being Human” [US] (2011–14)

The U.S. version of “Being Human” turned the beloved swarthy John Mitchell into an all-American hottie. Much like his British counterpart, Aidan is not opposed to threesomes—that is, living with two supernatural roommates. We can’t tell what’s hotter about this mellowed out vampire: the fact that he comes equipped with a chiseled butt chin, rock hard chest and dark features, or that his complicated past and addiction to blood, which he is constantly struggling to resist, make him vulnerable and dangerous. Whatever the case may be, we sure wouldn’t mind a little TLC from this bloodsucking nurse.

#6: Marcel Gerard
“The Originals” (2013–)

When we say that this guy is a smooth talker, we mean that his voice sounds like butter wrapped in velvet lined with silk. Seriously, he can charm the pants off any one, which probably helped him usurp the Mikaelsons to become the leader of New Orleans’ French Quarter. However, beneath that perfectly polished veneer is a conniving and violent animal that any run of the mill vampire would be stupid to mess with. He’s sex appeal and danger whipped up in one fine package that makes at least some of us his willing victims.

#5: Stefan Salvatore
“The Vampire Diaries” (2009–)

What’s hot about Stefan Salvatore that isn’t hot about Edward Cullen? Despite being from different vampire universes, these two characters are the same “human” age, dress similarly, look similar, have similar unruly bedhead, and are both fighting over a brunette with another supernatural character. Despite these resemblances, Paul Wesley plays a remarkably more mature, if not more guilt-ridden, teenage vampire, and just like his counterpart, his grin could seduce anyone lucky enough to be within range.

#4: Klaus Mikaelson
“The Originals” (2013–)

It’s finding Klaus sexy at all that proves not all our desires make sense. If we look at the amount of bloodshed and heartache this character has caused on both “The Vampire Diaries” and its spinoff, we would be heartless freaks to think that the original vampire is anything but a sicko. But he’s on this list for a good reason: it’s that he can erase all those bad deeds from our minds with just a single act of humanity. That there is still a heart lurking beneath the sadistic surface is what some may is a real panty peeler.

#3: Angel
“Buffy the Vampire Slayer” (1997–2003)

David Boreanaz’s character has been making us think dirty thoughts since the late ‘90s. Before the likes of “Twilight” and “The Vampire Diaries,” Angel was the only teenage vampire in town with an undead heart of gold. In fact, we’re pretty sure his descendants wouldn’t be with us if it weren’t for him. Cursed with a human soul, Angel isn’t what you would call a carefree bloodsucker. There’s a certain je ne sais quoi about a vampire who can wreak havoc, but chooses not to. He’d like a domesticated lion: beautiful and majestic, but with the underlying risk of danger that always makes the heart flutter.

#2: Eric Northman
“True Blood” (2008–14)

Tall, broad, and powerful, Eric Northman attracted an immediate following the very first time viewers caught a glimpse of the former Viking in season one. Introduced to us as the not-so-nice local honcho of the undead, what makes him so damn sexy, apart from his rock hard physique and shock of blond hair, is his exacting ruthlessness that’s slowly melted away by his growing feelings for Sookie Stackhouse. Whatever her secret, she manages to turn this brooding ancient bloodsucker into a reformed sinner, at least for a little while. And no matter how hot or cold his undead heart, he’s still the hottest thing Louisiana has to offer.

Before we unveil our final pick, here are a few honourable mentions:

Spike
“Buffy the Vampire Slayer” (1997–2003)

Bill Compton
“True Blood” (2008-14)

Eric Brooks / Blade
“Blade: The Series” (2006)

Benny Lafitte
“Supernatural” (2005–)

Henry Fitzroy
“Blood Ties” (2007)

#1: Damon Salvatore
“The Vampire Diaries” (2009–)

Viewers of the popular show known as “The Vampire Diaries” immediately knew two things when they first encounter Damon Salvatore: one: he is one arrogant douchebag; and two: he is one sexy arrogant douchebag. We know from the moment we first see this sapphire-eyed bloodsucker that he is going to challenge our moral compass. Even when he’s on his best behavior, he’s always a little bad, and when he embraces his dark side, he’s the worst. And when he’s at his worst, that’s when we like him best, because even if we hate to admit it, we’re all suckers for people and things we can’t have and shouldn’t want.
