Top 10 Hardest Xbox 360 Achievements

These are the hardest challenges players can complete on the Xbox 360. Welcome to WatchMojo.com, and today we will be ranking our Top 10 Hardest Xbox 360 Achievements.

For this list, we've chosen our entries based on a combination of popularity, difficulty, and amount of skill it takes to be completed.

#10: A Monument For All Your Sins
"Halo: Reach" (2010)

Starting our list off strong is the hardest achievement the Halo series has to offer. In order to tackle the first achievement on our list, you need to complete the game's entire campaign on legendary difficulty. There is another stipulation though, as you have to complete the game on single player only. No friends can help you out with this one. Once you do complete it, you will receive the coveted legendary symbol but with a human skull.

#9: Insanity
"Mass Effect 3" (2012)

Now this entry is a little more lenient than other entries on our list. The “Insanity” achievement calls for the player to complete the entire game with the combat difficulty set at Insane. And you thought the suicide mission ended in Mass Effect 2. Worth seventy-five gamer score, “Insanity” is considered the hardest achievement in the Mass Effect franchise. It is recommended to save this for a second play through so you have the necessary stats and equipment bonuses.

#8: Ultimate Battler
"Star Ocean: The Last Hope" (2009)

The first completionist achievement on our list, this one is a doosy. This “Ultimate Battler” title is not for the faint of heart, as it includes the completion of all nine hundred battle trophies. This works out to about one hundred trophies per playable character and many of the trophies have to be completed while playing as the character in question. Only worth ten gamer score, let us know if it is worth it.

#7: World Champion
"Tom Clancy’s” Ghost Recon Advance Warfighter" (2006)

This is the epitome of insanity. This achievement is exactly as it sounds, the “World Champion” title can only be earned by the world champion of Ghost Recon: Advance Warfighter. You have to be on top of the leaderboards, first in the entire world. Good luck nabbing this one, as only the best of Ghost Recon players can beat this challenge. For all this work you will receive a mere forty gamer score.

#6: Bladder of Steel
"Rock Band 2" (2008)

Make sure you have plenty of batteries before you even attempt this one. The “Bladder of Steel” achievement involves completing the second Endless Playlist, which consists of all 84 songs found on the disk. This time though you have to complete the Endless Playlist without fully failing a single song and without pausing the game. Batteries run out of juice on your controller? Fail. Accidentally press start while trying to use overdrive? Fail. This time there are no second chances, as it takes a very long time just to complete the set normally.

#5: Mile High Club
"Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare" (2007)

You may miss this achievement if you don't pay attention. A campaign based achievement, “Mile High Club” is based off of the Mile High Club mission after the main credits. This achievement is only marked complete once the player completes the extra mission on Veteran difficulty. The key though is that the mission has to be completed under one minute and the boss must be murdered with a headshot. If not you will have to restart.

#4: Seriously 3.0
"Gears of War 3" (2011)

This entry is the definition of persistence. The third iteration of the “Seriously” achievement, you have to be seriously hell bent on earning this mark on your record. To earn the “Seriously 3.0” achievement, you have to earn all 65 Onyx medals that exist in the game. If this isn't enough, you also have to reach at least level 100. These Onyx medals are difficult to earn, as many players reach level 50 before even earning one. Word of advice, start early.

#3: Hard to the Core
"Dead Space 2" (2011)

Game developers are obsessed with hardcore modes and difficulties. Another entry on this list, “Hard to the Core” can only be earned by the most persistent of gamers. Step one, beat the game on normal difficulty. Step two, beat the game on Zealot mode. Last but not least, beat the game on Hard Core mode. Unlike most of the hardcore modes on this list, you actually have saves. Three saves to be exact – not exactly a lot considering the difficulty. Use these sparingly as you don't have any checkpoints at your disposal either. Especially since Hard Core mode only allows you to have 3 saves.

#2: 7 Day Survivor
"Dead Rising" (2006)

This is as close you are going to get to a zombie apocalypse. To even begin this challenge, you first have to complete Dead Rising's main story and the extended story to unlock infinity mode. Infinity mode adds an insane challenge where your health slowly depletes and you need to keep eating food to maintain it. Anyway, once you’ve unlocked infinity mode, you will then have to survive 14 hours in real life. No saves, no pauses, no checkpoints. Die and you’re starting the whole thing over again.

Before we reveal our top pick, here are a few honorable mentions.

Brass Balls
MANBEARPIG
The Inhuman Achievement
The Real Deal

#1: Mr. Perfect
"Mega Man 10" (2010)

An insanely hard achievement for an incredibly difficult game. Mega Man 10 is considered one of the more challenging games in the series, right behind Mega Man 2. In order to nab the “Mr. Perfect” riches, the player has to complete the game in its entirety without taking any damage, AT ALL. It will take a serious gamer to conquer this feat, and many of the greatest have fallen to its clutches. Mega Man 10 is also a very difficult game to begin with, so … Good Luck
