if it weren't for this movie, believe it or not, then Mary Poppins would NOT, repeat, would NOT have come to be. if you ask Miss Poppins herself, I am pretty sure she would tell you the same thing.

this film was the final on screen performance of Mr. James Basket before his death. and the sad thing was, due to times being tough, he never got the chance to see the special screening of this movie.

these people said some good things about what made the film enjoyable, but stated something about the Master/Slave relationship being depicted in it, along with the possible racism depictions

because of the fear(s) of racism, if not anything else, the chances of this film getting released on any of these formats is pretty slim, and only in the United States is it easier said than done.

there were a lot of stories from a book that was chock-full of Brer Rabbit Stories, and only 3 of them were picked to be put into the movie. the first one told how Brer Rabbit thought he could run away from his troubles, the second told how he was always sticking his foot into something that he had no business with in the first place, and the third

although the film has had no luck getting a full length re-release in the USA, that doesn't mean it's had that same amount of problems outside of the states.
