It's also estimated that Tyrannosaurus had the strongest bite of any land animal, at a whopping 12,000 pounds, allowing it to pulverize bone.

Jurassic Park's raptors may have been oversized, AND may have had feathers, but this turkey sized dino still hunted in packs & hit pop culture like a knife.

Spinosaurus is not only the largest carnivorous dinosaur, but it just might be the largest land based carnivore ever. This dinosaur made its mark into fame by... uhh... well, we won't mention the movie... but every time it showed up on screen, we were on the edge of our seats.

Therizinosaurus

There's a lot to say about this dinosaur. It has a pot belly, a long neck, has huge arms & huge claws! You might think that Therizinosaurus would use those claws to tear prey apart, but unlike most theropods, this dinosaur likely used those huge claws to bring down branches. Plus, they make good weapons against predators.

Amphicoelias

Christian Hannah 8 years ago Report
While Brachiosaurus & Apatosaurus are also impressive, Amphicoelias is the largest land animal ever... maybe. It's only known from a single leg bone that was lost, but if the documented estimates are correct, we would be dealing with a creature nearly 200 feet in length! Kinda makes brachiosaurus look weak in comparison.

So, you're probably thinking about how in the world this pipsqueak would be on this list. Well, troodon has the largest brain in comparison to its body than any other dinosaur.

Microraptor

Christian Hannah 8 years ago Report
Not only is this one of the smallest dinosaurs, but it also had 4 wings! Don't think we're not paying attention to the criteria, Microraptor didn't fly. Instead, it glided from tree to tree using its four limbs like a paraglider.
