The Turtles were originally given an extraterrestrial origin in this incarnation, but the final film gave them the same origin we've known for decades by starting off as Ordinary Non-Anthropomorphic Turtles that become mutated.

Originally Tigger was also to be given a British Accent done by Chris O'Dowd, but test audiences weren't satisfied, so his long time voice actor Jim Cummings ended up voicing both him and Pooh Bear in the final film.

Test audiences weren't pleased about the fact that Dragon made no appearance in the film, she was featured in a Post Credit scene with hybrid babies. We still didn't know though with what Dragon turned into during the time that Donkey became a White Horse.
