Our number one entry, the famed RX100 IV in the RX100 series by Sony. Know as one of the best compact cameras available on the market today, everyone knows Sony does not mess around when it comes to point and shoot cameras. Featuring solid specs, a beautiful integrated Zeiss lens with great aperture and great shooting modes (1000fps slo-mo shooting anyone?), this compact does it all. Especially great for its video settings, we highly recommend this camera for your next trip if you can afford it.
#2:Canon PowerShot G1 X Mark II
The Canon PowerShot G1 X Mark II was a strong contender for our number one spot as it's pretty similar spec wise to the Sony, but is lacking a few practical settings and features (and consequently has the price to match this fact). It's a small amazing camera for what it does and has the great popping colour that Canon cameras are known for. It features a great low aperture for some good depth of field and a 3" tilting screen for tricky angles and hard to get shots.

The legendary Lumix LX series offers great quality for the price. It's a pretty standard point and shoot in a long running series of well regarded compact cameras. It delivers crisp quality images at a reasonable and affordable tag.
#5:Olympus TG-5 Waterproof Camera
The Olympus TG-5 Waterproof is a great entry in terms of ruggedness and reliability. Although it doesn't offer the sharpest or cleanest image quality, it offers some of the best flexibility in terms of its construction. Water proof and built like a tank, this camera will follow you pretty much anywhere for those hard to get shots.
