Top 3 DAGames Songs

Ready To Build Up Their Machine?

As far as platforms go, Youtube has proven itself to be the ideal place for creators to cut loose with their musical talents. While many have gone on to find success by putting their spin on cover songs, others have managed to establish themselves with original works. One in particular just so happens to be Will Alex Ryan. Flying under the banner of Diamond Armada, he’s managed to produce multiple albums over the years, most of which happen to be inspired by video games and clearly fall into the metal genre. As you might have guessed, they are AWESOME!

While he and his team also dedicate much of their time into livestreams and Let’s Plays, we’re going to be focusing on the music that holds the DAGames brand. Specifically, these three songs, which to our mind best encapsulate Mr Ryan’s musical prowess.

#3: Another Date

We’re sure that many were taken aback when they discovered just how addictive this hilariously lewd game was. Candy Crush-style mechanics coupled with a roster of contrasting love interests turned out to be a winning combination. DAGames was apparently just as taken by it, giving us a song that celebrated the craziness of romancing so many lovely ladies, often with mixed results. It’s one of his most lighthearted songs, but it’s still guaranteed to bring a smile to your face. Bonus points for having Suzy Lu voice each of the in-game characters!

#2: We Go Under

The Metro video game series pride themselves on creating a sense of hopelessness, and that’s exactly what Will and company drew on for this track, one that blends together the macabre with some killer guitar work. Not only is this one of their heaviest tracks, but it never loses that sense of darkness that one would normally associate with Metro. We’re surprised 4A Games didn’t ask to include this track in Exodus.

#1: Take My Breath Away

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is a game that above all else succeeds in creating an epic sense of scale. The setting, the narrative, the lore, all of it has such humongous weight to it that you truly feel like Hyrule’s saviour. Such grandeur would be hard to capture at the best of times, but as it stands DAGames’ musical tribute to Link’s latest adventure managed to nail it. With vocal assistance from the equally excellent Caleb Hyles, the song will most certainly inspire you to once again take up the Master Sword and leap back into the fray.
