#10: Putting With a Wedgie “Caddyshack II” (1988)
We can all agree that “Caddyshack II” isn’t on par with its predecessor. To give credit where credit’s due, though, it does have one of the funniest wedgies in all cinema. Randy Quaid’s Peter Blunt steals this sequel’s best moment as he gives a golfer some putting advice. We know what the punchline is going to be, but it’s the gradual, laidback buildup that heightens our expectations. Quaid delivers a boisterous payoff by not only giving the clueless golfer a wedgie, but the most playfully aggressive wedgie possible.
#9: Melvin “Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey” (1991)
If “The Seventh Seal” taught us anything, it’s that you can’t cheat death. Of course the Grim Reaper in that 1957 Swedish classic never butted heads with Bill and Ted. Our titular heroes might not be smart enough to beat Death in a game of chess, but they do become the first individuals to ever outwit him nonetheless. When Death comes knocking on the duo’s door, they cook up a brilliant plan to give him the slip: Melvin! Who knew that Death wore underpants… or shoes for that matter?
#8: Wedgie on the Docks “Return to Sleepaway Camp” (2008)
Where the original “Sleepaway Camp” was a legitimate slasher flick, the series got progressively sillier, dumber, and well, campier, with each passing entry. “Return to Sleepaway Camp” made the greatest leap from horror to straight up satire, as exemplified in this scene. In the spirit of Jason Voorhees, the chubby Alan finds himself being harassed by his fellow campers. Their quarrel comes complete with awkward acting, even more awkward dialogue, and a wedgie that won’t exactly scare the pants off you. You might wet yourself with laughter, however.
#7: Got The Time? “The Mask” (1994)

Jim Carrey is one of the only performers that can embody the spirit of a cartoon, making him the perfect comedian to don the mask of...well...the Mask. As the green-faced freakazoid, Carrey brings remarkable wit and timing to the most basic gags. For example, honking someone’s nose and giving him an atomic wedgie might sound like something you’d learn at Clown College orientation. However Carrey’s sharp delivery and speed makes this exchange nothing short of comedy gold. Hey, at least they didn’t cross paths with the significantly grittier Mask from the comics.
#6: Just Friends “Scary Movie 2” (2001)

The “Scary Movie” franchise has no shame in going for below the belt jokes, like when Pamela Anderson gave Jenny McCarthy a wedgie in “Scary Movie 3.” It’s this scene from “Scary Movie 2,” however, that especially makes the immature child in us giggle the most. Upon learning Cindy only wants to be friends, Buddy shows her what it means to be one of the guys. He takes both Cindy and the audience by surprise, giving her an epic wedgie. Buddy’s friendly obliviousness to Cindy’s misery only makes the action funnier.
#5: Marvelous “Revenge of the Nerds III: The Next Generation” (1992)
While this entry in the “Revenge of the Nerds” franchise might be another downgraded sequel, it does teach us that delivering an atomic wedgie is like a math equation. According to the transitive wedgie property, the size of somebody’s underpants times how far the waistband is pulled over the receiver’s head will be greater than or equal to the audience’s laugh ratio. By that mathematical logic, this scene from “Revenge of the Nerds III” equals one marvelous atomic wedgie. Who says that bullying stereotypical nerds can’t be educational?
#4: Wyatt’s Wedgie “Weird Science” (1985)
Chet from “Weird Science” is one of the most memorable douchebags in any teen comedy, finding just the right balance of cocky, idiotic and despicable. After discovering the house in chaos and his grandparents frozen, the disciplinary doofus commands his younger brother like a drill sergeant. He proceeds to give him a wedgie as if it’s part of standard protocol, making all of our butts clamp up. It’s a harsh punishment, but fortunately Lisa has something much worse in store for Chet.
#3: The Walk Off “Zoolander” (2001)

It’s physically impossible for somebody to remove their underpants without removing their pants, right? Apparently not, as Hansel proves in “Zoolander” that this seemingly impossible exploit is as easy as turning left. Determined to emerge victorious from the walk off, Derek attempts to do the same trick. The empty-headed male model turns out to be a dead man walking, however, as he gives himself a cringe-inducing wedgie. Ouch! Derek should’ve listened to Tyson Beckford. Good thing he can Dere-lick his own balls.
#2: The Bungee Wedgie “Jackass: The Movie” (2002)

It was only a matter of time until the “Jackass” franchise got around to a wedgie-related stunt. The Bungee Wedgie is pretty much what it sounds like. The act involves a pair of underpants, a pair of bungee cords, a tree, and a volunteer accustomed to self-injury. You may also need some spot remover to get those stains out afterwards. As we’ve come to expect from “Jackass,” this obscene feat appeals to the lowest common denominator while also being sidesplittingly hysterical and creative in its own way. “When you are a man, sometimes you wear stretchy pants in your room.” At least that’s the case when you’re a lord of the ring like Nacho. As the wannabe warrior is unmasked by Ramses, Nacho retaliates by stretching his rival’s golden underpants right over his head. We knew that wrestlers wore underwear over their pants, but who would’ve thought that they wore stretchy undies on the inside too? Funny, fast-paced, and utilizing the underwear to inventive effect, this scene from “Nacho Libre” easily wins the title for the best movie wedgie. Do you agree with our list?
