Top 10 Most Anticipated Comeback Albums of 2026
#10: “Beautiful Madness” (2026)
Agnes
The last time Swedish pop sensation Agnes dropped a full-length album was back in 2021. “Magic Still Exists,” her fifth studio album was stuffed, from beginning to end, with pristine disco-pop bangers that should have taken over every chart on Earth. While that didn’t necessarily happen, her upcoming sixth album “Beautiful Madness,” might just pull it off. Due for release in January 2026, Agnes has already teased the record with three superb singles, including “Balenciaga Covered Eyes” and “Ego.” If those tracks are any hint, “Beautiful Madness,” which Agnes promises will be more introspective, could end up as her best album yet. Expectations are pretty high because, after all, no one cooks up dancefloor magic quite like the Swedes.
#9: “My Ego Told Me To” (2026)
Leigh-Anne
2022 saw Little Mix go on a hiatus to allow its members pursue solo projects. Since then, Jade Thirlwall and Perrie Edwards have both released their debut albums, which critics welcomed with open arms. 2026 will give us the last piece of the puzzle with Leigh-Anne’s. After the group hit pause, Leigh-Anne kicked off her solo career with the EP “No Hard Feelings,” on which she explored her Caribbean heritage. With her upcoming debut album, “My Ego Told Me To,” which arrives in February, Leigh-Anne hopes to go even further by creating an immersive fusion of pop, R&B, dancehall and reggae. Singles like “Been a Minute” and “Dead and Gone,” already make it clear what lane her solo era is cruising in.
#8: “Whatever's Clever!” (2026)
Charlie Puth
Charlie Puth seems to have figured out how to use social media to his advantage as a musician. His self-titled third album, which was released in 2022, heavily exploited the use of TikTok in turning its singles into viral tracks. That same play is being used for his upcoming fourth album “Whatever's Clever!” Set to arrive in March, Puth has been documenting the process of creating the record on TikTok, as well as sharing multiple teasers. The album comes at a pivotal time in Puth’s life, as he and his wife Brooke Sansone are expecting their first child, also due in March 2026. The big reveal was even dropped right in the music video for the album’s lead single “Changes.”
#7: “How Did I Get Here?” (2026)
Louis Tomlinson
Louis Tomlinson’s third album, “How Did I Get Here?”, drops in January 2026 and marks a noticeable shift from the heavier, grittier edge of his 2022 album “Faith in the Future.” Influenced by a visit to Costa Rica, this album leans into a sunnier, more optimistic worldview – a creative reset that fans have already tasted through singles like “Lemonade” and “Palaces.” Tomlinson has been steadily carving out his own lane since One Direction, moving from pop-rock melancholy into a more grounded, mature sound. This new era shows him loosening up, letting some light in, and embracing songwriting that’s less about survival and more about growth. According to Tomlinson, it’s the kind of record he’s always wanted to make.
#6: “Luck... or Something” (2026)
Hilary Duff
It’s hard to believe that this will be Hilary Duff’s first full studio album since 2015. In pop culture years, that’s practically a generation. The lead single “Mature,” which dropped in 2025, immediately signaled that this era is less about reclaiming her old teen-idol energy and more about embracing adulthood with humor, nostalgia, and clarity. Duff’s fans have grown up with her, and she’s grown right alongside them, juggling motherhood, acting roles, and a quieter public life in recent years. That’s exactly why this comeback feels significant. She’s returning because she has something to say, and she’s finally ready to say it with honesty and the kind of perspective you only gain after living life off the music scene for nearly a decade.
#5: Untitled Album (2026)
Raye
Raye’s rise over the past few years has been nothing short of explosive, and her untitled 2026 album already feels like one of the most creatively charged projects of the year, even without an official title yet. After breaking free from her old label and independently releasing “My 21st Century Blues,” she proved she’s not just a songwriter-for-hire. This upcoming album has a lot of expectations riding on it, especially considering how impressive its lead single, “Where Is My Husband!,” is. It’s not yet clear when exactly the record will drop, but Raye has said it will definitely arrive in the first half of 2026. Fans certainly expect even bolder storytelling, bigger experimentation, and a continuation of the raw vulnerability that has brought her this far.
#4: “Sunday Best” (2026)
Nick Jonas
Ever since the Jonas Brothers reunited in 2019, Nick Jonas stepped back into his solo persona with 2021’s “Spaceman.” After that, he returned to the trio to work on their sixth album and embark on a world tour. Now, in 2026, Jonas will be carving out space to flex his individual voice once again on “Sunday Best.” His solo work has always leaned into smoother, more sensual production, and this record seems poised to continue that pattern. Jonas announced the album during an intimate show titled “Sunday Best Brunch,” during which he previewed a few tracks for some of his biggest fans. From the sound of it, he might be circling back to the blues rock flavor of his Nick Jonas & the Administration days.
#3: “Wuthering Heights” (2026)
Charli XCX
Soundtrack albums rarely ever gain much traction, but when Charli XCX is behind it, things will certainly go differently. Following the cultural phenomenon that was “Brat,” Charli admitted she hit a creative slump, at least until filmmaker Emerald Fennell contacted her to record a song for her “Wuthering Heights” adaptation. This album will tap into a darker, more cinematic palette, with sweeping strings and atmospheric production. Two singles have been released thus far – “House,” a gothic, industrial rock detour featuring Velvet Underground legend John Cale, which sounds like nothing Charli has ever done. This was followed by “Chains of Love,” a synthpop song that could’ve easily come from “True Romance.” Regardless of the tonal shift, Charli’s bite is still very much intact.
#2: “Confessions on a Dance Floor Part 2” (2026)
Madonna
This might not be the final album title, but Madonna has already confirmed that the sequel to one of her greatest projects is on the way. 2005’s “Confessions on a Dance Floor” was a cultural reset. A seamless hour-long dance odyssey that influenced an entire generation of pop. The idea of her revisiting that sound two decades later is understandably electrifying. In recent years, Madonna has been re-energized onstage, honoring her legacy with The Celebration Tour, while teasing a return to the dancefloor. If she truly is crafting a part two, this could be her most exciting reinvention in ages. It’s a chance for her to connect her early-millennium dominance with her current artistic instincts, while reminding everyone why she became the Queen of Pop.

#1: Untitled Album (2026)
BTS
The global phenomenon that is BTS has been on an official hiatus since 2022, allowing its members to fulfill mandatory military service and explore solo ventures. Their last album of original material, “Be” was released back in November 2020, so fans are certainly yearning for their return as a group after years spent honing their individual voices. Although an official title has yet to be announced, in November 2025, Jimin revealed that they had finished recording the album, which they started working on when they reunited as a group in June. Between the already confirmed world tour and the inevitable cultural earthquake this comeback will cause, BTS’s 2026 album might just be the biggest pop moment of the decade.
