Djurgården

Despite the small size of the park, it features hours of fun for the whole family. The park features over 30 attractions, from thrilling roller coasters to other fair rides. Some of the tallest rides offer spectacular views of the surrounding park and island, and this is a great way to view the city. The park is open from late April until early September, and has also become famous for the musical concerts that are played there.

Skansen

Skansen is an open-air museum also located on Djurgården. As it was founded around the same time as Gröna Lund, it is the oldest open-air museum in the world. This is another spot that’s perfect for a family trip: While Skansen features a zoo full of friendly, Nordic animals, it also showcases what life was like in the area before industry took over. Old farm houses were transported from their original locations to this park as symbols of history.
