Robert De Niro: From Taxi Driver to Little Fockers He is one of the greatest screen-performers of his generation, and well known for his deep commitment to method acting. Beginning his film career in the early 1960s, he went on to gain wide attention as a dying Major League Baseball player in 1973’s “Bang The Drum Slowly” and earned an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his role in The Godfather Part II. After this, he entered into a long running, and career defining collaboration with Martin Scorsese. Appearing in over 70 films, he has starred in thrillers, comedies and crime dramas.
