Interview With the Planet Smashers Hailing from Montreal, Quebec, the Planet Smashers are a ska punk band that started in 1994. The band rose to prominence during the third wave of ska, around the same time as bands like No Doubt, Sublime and Reel Big Fish. The same year he started the band; lead smasher Matt Collyer also started Stomp Records – an independent record label that boasts such bands as Bedouin Soundclash and Big D and the Kids Table.
