George Pettit On Alexisonfire Breakup, Side Projects

George Pettit On Alexisonfire Breakup, Side Projects Alexisonfire was a well-known and widely popular post-hardcore band out of St. Catharines, Ontario. After ten years together, Alexisonfire announced in August 2011 they were breaking up. Two founding members left to focus on their respective solo projects. Vocalist Dallas Green’s City and Colour was quickly gaining popularity, and guitarist Wade MacNeil took on vocal duties in Gallows. The breakup was anything but amicable, with lead singer George Pettit publicly blaming Green for causing the band’s destruction. In this video, WatchMojo.com speaks with Pettit in happier times to discuss the idea of solo side projects and whether he thought they threatened the band.
