Honda Motor Company: Motorcycles to the Civic and Accord Founded on September 24th, 1948 by Soichiro Honda, the Honda Motor Company started out manufacturing lightweight and efficient motorcycles. Honda took that know-how and became one of the most prominent motorcycle makers in the saturated Japanese market. Eventually, the company was known worldwide for its motorcycles, and that is when they began also manufacturing cars. Honda has brought us such lasting models as the Civic and the Accord, as well as technological advances in a number of categories.
