Recipe: How to Make Creamy Chocolate Pudding

Sure, getting pudding from a box is simple. But this is just as easy and twice as delicious.

- ½ cup white sugar
- 3 heaping tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- ¼ cup cornstarch
- ⅛ teaspoon salt
- 2 ¾ cups milk
- 2 tablespoons margarine or butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1. In a saucepan, mix together the sugar, cocoa, cornstarch and salt. Make sure there are no lumps.
2. Now place that over medium heat, and stir in the milk using a whisk.
3. Bring that mixture to a boil, making sure to stir it constantly. Cook it until it is thick enough to coat the back of a metal spoon.
4. Next, remove that mixture from the heat and stir in the margarine and vanilla.
5. Divide your pudding into separate serving bowls, and either allow it to chill in your refrigerator or serve it warm.
TIP: If you want to avoid a skin forming on your pudding while it cools, cover the surface in cling wrap so that it touches the pudding.
This is a decadent and easy chocolate dessert that will be a sweet end to a romantic meal.
