Comic Book Artist Larry Hama on G.I. Joe and Bucky O'Hare Larry Hama is a multi-talented artist, but he is probably best known as a comic book writer and artist for Marvel and DC Comics. He worked on such characters as Wolverine, Wonder Woman and Conan the Barbarian. However, he is probably most famous for writing Marvel’s G.I. Joe comics, based on the Hasbro toy line. He went on to create the character Bucky O’Hare, and has been ultra-successful in this competitive industry.
