Decoding Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance

in: hosted by Rebecca Brayton

Decoding Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance 'Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance: An Inquiry into Values' is a 1974 philosophy book written by Robert M. Pirsig. Following a motorcycle trip across the United States, the book also details philosophical discussions undertaken by the author and his traveling companions. While this is considered one of the world’s most widely-read philosophy books, it has a reputation of being obscure. Writer and motorcycle enthusiast Mark Richardson decided, 40 years after Pirsig’s journey, to recreate the trip and make sense of 'Zen.' In this video, WatchMojo.com speaks with Richardson to learn more about Pirsig’s original book, and to find out about his own companion book, 'Zen and Now.' For more information, click Here
