Woodsmen Competition: A Primer

in: hosted by WatchMojo.com

Woodsmen Competition: A Primer Call them lumberjacks, woodsmen, or timberathletes. One thing’s for sure: they know how to chop wood. A woodsmen competition is basically a competition for lumberjacks – who can chop, climb and saw fastest, who can throw an axe with the most precision. With roots in the informal competitions between loggers in the US and Canada, today it is popular on college campuses worldwide. Competing both as a team and in singles events, college teams vary in seriousness, with many schools featuring varsity groups. In this video, WatchMojo.com learns about the different events in a woodsmen competition, and finds out how they are judged.
