The Breakdance Battle Is On

Born in the streets of New York City in the early 1970s, breakdancing is one of the 4 elements of hip-hop, which incorporates aspects of African American and Latin American dance styles. Today it remains a progressive staple of that same hip-hop lifestyle. One of the most important aspects of the culture is the competition, where b-boys and b-girls go head-to-head in an attempt to out-dance each other. In this video, speaks with two members of the Belgian breakdance team, who competed at the Just for Laughs Breakdance Battle, to find out more about b-boy culture.
