Top 10 Shows You Can Find On VRV

Anime? Cartoons? Gaming? Tech? Where do we start?
Welcome to WatchMojo and today we’re counting down our picks for the Top 10 Shows You Can Find on VRV.

For this list, we’re highlighting some of our favorite shows to appear across the catalogue of channels on VRV. These include Crunchyroll and FUNimation, where you can catch all your favorite anime like One Piece and Dragon Ball Super. Cartoon Hangover and Mondo, for all your cartoon needs. And the likes of Rooster Teeth, Tested, and Geek & Sundry for all your much needed Nerd Culture content.

#10: “My Hero Academia” (2016-)

Are you getting tired of the same old super heroes? Think they all have it way too easy? Well meet Izuku Midoriya, a young man who’s just unlucky enough to be born without super powers in a world where almost everyone has them. This, of course, doesn’t deter his determination and he works his darnedest to join the most prestigious school for heroes, U.A. Academy. But if he can make it in, all that’ll be waiting for him is bitter rivals, tough trials, and a whole lot of villains…

#9: “Red Vs. Blue” (2003-)

Rooster Teeth’s breakout series continues to deliver the goods. Originally starting as a collection of shorts, the series became an instant hit that still continues to this day. Being mostly dialogue driven, the series is animated using the deadly serious halo games, which allows for some pretty hilarious dissonance. The show is such a monumental success that its even recognized by the creative team themselves and has become a key ingredient to Halo culture.

#8: “The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.” (2016-)

Turns out being a powerful psychic isn’t as grandiose as you’d expect. There are no hot-blooded rivals and there certainly isn’t any evil organizations to take down. Our hero, Saiki couldn’t be happier that this is the case, but in his pursuit for a simple life he has to face some far worse obstacles – idiotic friends and over-eager fan-girls. With each episode lasting just 5 minutes and providing gut-busting laughs – you have very few reasons not to check this one out.

#7: “Critical Role” (2015-)

Dungeons & Dragons campaigns can sometimes be a little dry…so how do you step up the drama tenfold? You bring in the unparalleled voice actor, Matt Mercer, as the dungeon master. With other known voice over artists like Travis Willingham and Ashley Johnson lending their talents to the project, Geek & Sundry’s Critical Role is a D&D play through like no other.

#6: “Yuri!!! on Ice” (2016)

At this point in time they’ve pretty much made an anime about everything – Even Ice Skating. Now you may be skeptical about watching a show centered around this subject – but your worries would be misplaced as Yuri on Ice somehow managed to be one of the best anime of 2016. Yuuri Katsuki, Japan’s representative in the figure skating grand prix, has fallen on hard times after a pathetic performance in the finals. It’s up to his idol, Victor to get him back in the game and teach him some valuable lessons about life, love and sexy pork-cutlets.

#5: “RWBY” (2013-)

RWBY is what happens when Americans take a crack at anime. Created by the late Monty Oum, who made those awesome video game mash-up brawls back in the day, RWBY tells the tale of Ruby Rose and her team, as they train at Beacon academy to become prolific huntresses. What are they hunting you ask? The creatures of Grimm – Destructive beasts that take some killing. The show has even garnered the attention of Japan, spawning a manga spin off.

#4: “JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure” Series (2012-)

We may be preaching to the choir here, but if you haven’t already checked out this anime juggernaut – what the hell are you waiting for? Telling the multi-generation tale of Jonathan Joestar and his descendants, this series certainly lives up to its title as “bizarre”. Their misadventures see them facing the likes of vampires, pillar men and deadly stand users, narrowly escaping death each time – Proving that the JoJo lineage is somehow the most lucky…AND unlucky group of burly men around.

#3: Bravest Warriors (2012-)

The brainchild of Pendelton Ward focuses on, you guessed it, THE BRAVEST WARRIORS.
Hired for heroic odd jobs, these warriors face all sorts of adversities from intergalactic enemies to your typical teen-drama. The show has quickly wiggled its way into the hearts of many, and the good news is some new, exclusive episodes are making their way to VRV. So if you’re big into Adventure Time but want something a little more age-appropriate, Bravest Warriors might just be the show for you.

#2: “Yu Yu Hakusho” (1992-94)

Remember this ol’ gem? Well it’s just as good as you remember it being.
What starts as an innocent little show about a guy trying to be reborn quickly turns into one of the most iconic battle shounen series of all time. It may begin a little slow, but as soon as you hit the dark tournament you’re in for a ride - Plus with the show celebrating its 25th Anniversary this year, what better time to reacquaint yourself with the world’s greatest spirit detective?

Before we reveal our top pick, Here’s some honorable mentions:

“Deep Space 69” (2012-)

“Boruto” (2016-)

“Bee and Puppycat” (2013-)

#1: “Attack on Titan” (2013-)

It’s been a long time coming, but the most anticipated anime sequel is finally here. As humanity continues its struggle against the monsterous giants known as titans, the survey corps begin to find new, disturbing details about the world they live in; complete with corruption and monkey trouble. The stunning visuals, beastly soundtrack, and incredible fight scenes are all here - So if you’re a new fan looking to start or a returning one eager to see the new season, this is your perfect chance to catch up.
