They don't have to be a cop but they do have to embody the standard archetype of a detective in some way, so non-traditional detectives like Yusuke Urameshi from Yu Yu Hakusho or Motoko Kusanagi from the Ghost in the Shell series will not be featured here. Also as always, there might be a couple spoilers ahead.
