Born in 1915 in Harlem, New York, Arthur Miller was a playwright who found Broadway success and then branched out to write screenplays. He wrote “Death of a Salesman” in 1949. This play about the Loman family touches upon the theme of the American dream. It has become one of Miller’s most well known writings.
