The History of The Clash

The History of The Clash Formed in London, England in 1976, The Clash emerged during the era where punk rock was quickly gaining popularity in the western world. They immediately found success in their native UK thanks to their dirty punk sound, look and politically charged lyrics. Despite a few line-up changes, they maintained that momentum by experimenting with genres like reggae, dup, rap and jazz. The Clash finally found some American recognition in the late 70s but it was really with 1982's "Combat Rock" that they reached the top 10. In this video, WatchMojo.com takes a look at the history of The Clash.
