Types of Professors

The Young Maverick

If ever there was one individual that was both vilified and venerated, it is the young maverick. This is one person that has achieved a lot in their young life. To add to their list of accomplishments, they have taken up teaching. While some in the faculty take this character less than seriously, it only adds to his desire to stand out from the academic crowd.

Students also share different opinions on this professor. Some students view the brash individual as arrogant, others view his accomplishments as a blueprint to follow: the balance between industry and academic success. Usually this type is rare in non-business school. Industry success has allowed him to get in front of the class and win a new battle.
