Business School Majors

Human Resources, Management & Organizational Behavior

Human Resources managers get a bad reputation from many but the field remains a very interesting one. HR has more to do with the legal and accounting issues of managing human capital, while Management (with a big M) comes down to psychology in business. In some ways, HR is more for the accountant while Management is for the financier.

Any way you dice it, HR people are knowledgeable in the areas that everyone else sweats over: pay, vacation time, compensation and sick days. Management is important because human capital is everything and motivating people (including yourself) will remain the single greatest challenge you will face in business and in life. Those that can identify winners – be it in sports, music, entertainment or business – are usually amongst the most important people on a company’s payroll.

Other Majors include:

Accounting

Decision Sciences

Entrepreneurship

Finance

Human Resources, Management & Organizational Behavior

Management of Information Systems

Marketing

International Business

And of course, don't forget your electives.
