The
Date
Time
goes by and you manage to go out on that
magical first date. Nervous? Here is how
to make it special.
Conversation
Is King
Once
you are on that magical date, remember that
building a mystery is no longer the way
to go. He or she is there because they want
to know more about you.
Do
Not Volunteer Info
That
being said, this is not a press conference
where you will be reading an announcement.
Ask some questions on school, work, interests,
safe, common ground stuff – and take
it from there. Wait until you are asked
questions before you divulge too much. If
your date asks nothing, then this may be
a sign that all is not well.
Mutual
Playing Ground
Find
out what your date likes. This is great
to know in order to please them in the future
and will also lead to a nice conversation
with no awkward silences.
Make
Eye Contact
Do
not stare at your date without blinking.
This is not a freak show. At the same time,
try to make some eye contact once in a while
and smile.
Do
Not Play The 3rd Degree
Do
not drill your date in cross-examination
style. Throughout the normal conversation
flow, you see what is fair game and what
they are sensitive about.
Leave
Exes At Home
Do
not bring up past dates unless they do so.
Some people will volunteer such information,
others will cringe at the first hint of
the topic.
Kiss
On The Cheek
No
matter how well the date goes, leave on
a safe note by kissing them on the cheek.
This shows that you are not in a rush and
will leave them wanting more.
Take
It Easy, Take It Slow
If
you see that the date turned out well, then
you just may be on your way to – brace
yourself: a relationship. If your knees
are not buckling yet and the fear of commitment
has not made you rip this book apart, then
the following points should be helpful in
making your relationship
a healthy one.
