Chief Revenue Officer

In theory, many companies try to develop cultures where everyone contributes to the bottom line, either by raising revenues or by decreasing costs. On the top line, all companies should have one main person responsible for coordinating their global revenue efforts, and hence the creation of the CRO role.

Many companies have numerous departments that contribute revenue, but the CRO ensures that the sales process is optimized by generating the most potential dollars for the least amount of resources.

The CRO can oftentimes be a company's highest paid employee. As well, oftentimes this role can fall in the hands of a CMO or a CEO.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
