Administration

Bureaucracy is omnipresent in most institutions and business school is no different. There are opportunities to take advantage of and drawbacks to consider.

Deadlines

Mark important deadlines for everything in your calendars and agendas. This is fairly straightforward advice but it is often neglected.

The Paper Trail

There are some things that are in your control, like not missing deadlines. There is no reason why you should get sloppy and stress for nothing. When you do make payments, keep a record because the burden of proof falls on you. Failure to make payment means no credit for your classes. Even if you can fix this oversight with the administration, you will have to waste precious resources (sleep and time for example) that would be better spent studying or partying.

Financial Aid

In terms of opportunities, there are always great scholarships, grants and bursaries available to students. Business students are blessed with an influx of corporate gifts and parachutes. Check corporate websites, school websites as well as non-profit organizations to know all of the opportunities that are available.
