Jimmy
Page started playing guitar
at 12 years old and at the young age
of 14, was on ITV’s Search for
Stars Talent Quest. His first electric
guitar was actually a second hand
1949 Gibson (a Gibson Les Paul would
later become his trademark), which
started the career of one of the most
influential rock guitarists ever.
The Yardbirds launced
yet another successful career but
conflict among the band led to two
of the members leaving. However, Page
wanted to continue with the band nonetheless.
When Keith Moon heard this, he said
that the band was going to “go
down like a lead zeppelin”.
After a few performances on their
first tour, The Yardbirds soon became
known as Led Zeppelin, the model prototype
of all future rock bands.
It was 1980 when
the group broke up. In spite of this,
Page did various projects and later
reunited with Robert Plant under the
guise of the Honeydrippers. The reunited
again in 1995 and 1998. The album
“No Quarter” featured
re-stylized Led Seppelin songs which
was a special on MTV, MTV: Unledded.
