Travel To Israel Located in the Middle East, Israel is just slightly larger than the American state of Massachusetts. Found on the eastern side of the Mediterranean Sea, it is also part of the Middle East. Israel shares its borders with Lebanon, Syria, Jordan and Egypt. The West Bank and Gaza Strip are also adjacent to Israel. Despite the fact that the country is fairly small, its land features a varied landscape – with coastal plains, highlands and desert making up the topography. Israel features a Mediterranean climate, partly due to its location between the Sahara and Arabian deserts. In this video, WatchMojo.com learns more about Israel.
